Project Update

The first rainwater-harvesting tanks are full of water and being used! Two large tanks (75,000L) are providing clean drinking water for all students at the school. One smaller tank (10,000L) is completed in each of the two villages that share the school, Adexor and Adexor-Kpodzi.

The plan now is to build 11 more large tanks, providing enough water for everyone in the villages. We are hoping to build 6 tanks in 2008 and the remaining 5 in 2009. These large tanks cost $3000 each to make and provide water for about five households each. So that’s about $33,000 to finish the project so that every person in Adexor and Adexor-Kpodzi has access to clean water.

Thanks to all our supporters for helping to continue bring this dream to reality.

Hi Wade and Nathan,
It is wonderful to read your blog and hear how much has already been accomplished. The rain water storage tanks look very impressive, and will make such a difference to the people. Many people in our congregation in Peachland want to continue to support the project. Thanks for all your work and committment. Blessings! Christian Haugland
