Neither Wade nor I are prolific bloggers. But this you may have picked up on your own. So here it is - a much over due post. We've recently put our efforts into creating the fall 2008 newsletter which we sent out several weeks ago and is now also posted to the website for download. Please have a look if you haven't had a chance already.
Phase 2 of the Project is rolling – three of five rainwater harvesting tanks are complete, with two more under construction. This will provide a total of 545,000L of water-storage capacity between the two villages of Adexor and Adexor-Kpodzi. That’s 1650L of clean water for each person throughout the 6 month dry season.
We've also been putting our efforts to fundraising for phases 2 & 3 of the Project. Wade received this wonderful email the other day from friend Sara who turned her 7th birthday party (!) into a fundraiser for theWATERproject.ca:
"Hello Wade,
It's Sara here. I raised $100.00 for theWATERproject.ca today through donations collected at my birthday party. Mom has prepared the envelope and will give it to you later this week."
Thank you Sara!

Hello, I am writing from the "high jungle" area of Peru. Many villages here have no clean water. Where can I get more technical information? I think we should try to have here a similar project.
Thank you for your advice. Go on working and helping people!
Pilar.
Hi Pilar,
Please be in touch with us by email at info@thewaterproject.ca.
We'd love to learn more and try to help out by connecting with folks who may be working in your area.
